What Is A Reasonable Attorney Fee For Automobile Accident Cases?

A: To begin with, you obviously want an attorney who is going to charge you fees that are reasonable. Find out from the attorney whether he or she charges a standard contingent fee for all personal injury cases.  Find out whether the attorney has a one-size-fits-all contingent fee arrangement. If that is the case, then usually 40% (or as much as 50%) of anything that is recovered on your behalf  is taken out of the settlement proceeds. In other words, make sure you understand exactly how the fee agreement works. Look for fee agreements that take into consideration when the case is resolved. That is, the earlier the case is resolved, the lower the percentage of attorney fees.  This is the type of fee agreement we use.
